How To Get Exposure for Your Website

On the Internet, one thing is certain. Getting to the top one or two listings on google is difficult. You have competition from large companies who pay millions of dollars to have their site marketed. With this marketing comes little room for the little guy. Surprisingly, there are a few things that you can do to boost your online traffic through some services you might not have thought of.

My first recommendation is using a free service called pingomatic.com. What it essentially does is it automatically submits your site/blog to as many of the blog databases(such as technorati) as you would like. Its fast, free, and simple to use, only requiring you to enter your website address and choose the services you would like to ping. Every time you update your blog, you will want to return to the site to ping it again.

My second reccomendation is using a service called Site Build It. As I have discussed in my previous post, Site Build It is fantastic for creating a website that truly gets traffic. They handle everything from marketing your website, to generating traffic, and to providing tools to build a successful website. The majority of their sites get in the top 3% of traffic on the internet and rank #1 or #2 on Google for their specific keywords. This is the service I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The third service I would use is Google Webmaster tools. To have a hope of scoring high on rankings for keywords in google, you MUST use their webmaster tools. Once you sign-up, you will want to submit a site map, where you essentially submit a link to each of the pages of your blog and include relevent keywords.

The final thing I recommend to bloggers/website owners is to do a Press release. Some of the Press release services are free, others are not. The best press release website out there is Prweb. It is a service that starts at $80, but it really gets your site out there!

These are my recommended courses of action, but I cannot stress this enough, if you want the best results, I recommend Site Build It because of their comprehensive all-in-one tools to really help the website owner succeed!

How to make money online(and no...its not a scam!)

Oh! the dreaded making money online topic! One of those things I always feel sort of frustrated about after searching for it because I know that no matter how much I search "making money online" on google, no less crap is going to show up. I recently came to the realization that making money online isn't a secret business that wealthy internet millionaires need to share with you in a 97 dollar e-book, nor is it anything that requires an expensive-to-join MLM(cough...cough...Pyramid scheme.:)) Making money online is based on one thing, and that is determination. It’s determination to build a site on something that you have an interest in. I like the good old adage that if you write what you like, there are others that will like the topic as well, hence generating traffic for you. Well that would be completely true in a fairy land where every person that blogs or has their own website is making money, but unfortunately no such land exists. We live in the harsh reality of the internet, where something like only 3% of websites started by individuals make any kind of income.

What does it tell us when only 3% of sites succeed; that they are blessed?; that they are better writers than us?; that they have some secret that they bought in a $97 hard to find e-book? NO! They have the knowledge of how the internet works. They know the ins and outs of internet marketing and know as much about the Internet as they do their spouse. But now you ask, just as I did, "What is there for us normal folk, without a clue about things such as keywords, Search engine submission, Internet marketing, Adsense, and all that other technical mumbo jumbo!?" To be frank, there’s not much that will get you true income success. There are sites where you can create your own site and host it for free, but if you want any kind of income, you have to do all the technical stuff yourself, leaving almost no time for actually working on the content, which should be your main concern, because your writing for individuals, and to have your site/blog make money, you need those individuals to keep coming back for your great content!

So now your probably wondering, what is there availble to me?
